GT40 Engine (04)

289 cubic inch and built to FIA Appendix K rules.

This engine was built to full race specification using all of the best available components. A slightly milder cam was fitted in the engine. This was primarily for fuel economy when used for long distance racing. If the revs were kept down to 6000rpm it would do 2 hours and 10 minutes of racing on 100 litres of fuel.

On the dyno the engine gives 300bhp at 4500rpm rising to 412 bhp at 6500rpm. Maximum torque is 360 lb-ft at 4800rpm.

The engine is complete and will fit straight into a GT40 with no modifications, i.e. correct sump, flywheel, carburettors, front pulleys, throttle linkage etc.

£25,000 (No VAT to be added)

GT40 Engine (03)

On the dyno the engine gives 322bhp at 3600rpm rising to 455bhp at 6600rpm

The engine is complete and will fit straight into a GT40 with no modifications, i.e. correct sump, flywheel, carburettors, front pulleys, throttle linkage etc.
